as the President of the executive board of the
Beninese Roller Sports Federation.

The Extraordinary Council of Ministers of Benin stopped
all sports activities in an announcement
on March 17, 2020 due to the Coronavisur epidemic.
Athletes met with the ministers on
November 7, 2020 at the Mathieu Kérékou Friendship
Stadium in Cotonou to discuss the situation.

2019
Sports Ministry Congratulates Benin Skaters
Oswald Homeky, Benin Minister of Sports,
received and congratulated the Beninese
winners of the 1st African Games of Roller Sports.
The Benin team received 56 medals at that event
including 25 gold medals, 19 silver medals,
and 12 bronze medals.

Benin at the 1st African Games in Kinshasa
Benin was represented by 14 athletes at
the first African Skating Games in Kinshasa.
Those skaters completed in two disciplines:
inline speed skating and inline freestyle.
In freestyle they competed in the
slalom battle, slalom speed, and free jump categories.
in speed skating they competed in
200 meter, 500 meter, 1000 meter, and 10000 meter races.

2018
Benin Athletes Selected for 2018 African Championships
Eight Beninese inline skaters were selected to compete at the
African Roller Skating Championships
October 24 through November 5 in Egypt.
Six men and two women were selected to compete
in the junior and senior events:
Abraham Amoussou (Senior Men), Donan Henresth Houngbo (Junior Men),
Hermione Ahouissou (Senior Women), Issoufou Bachirou (Junior Men),
Jude Noukpokinnou (Senior Men), Nephtali Eustache Fafoumi (Junior Men),
Rawdath Laabudo Demba Diallo (Junior Women), and Raymond Ahoudji (Senior Men).

Benin Skaters Train for 2017 World Roller Games
Benin inline skaters trained several times
a week in marathon and speed skating to
prepare for the inaugural edition of the World Roller Games in
Nanjing, China, scheduled for
August 22 through September 11, 2017.
Skaters selected for the training included:

Cedric Vissiennon, Charif Dîne Karimou, Cisse Nafiou, Cyrille Oussou,
David Ketonou, Deo-Gracias Nonbime, Dieu-Donne Mehomey, Edmond Gbessinon,
Éliane Tohouegnon, Erneste Houngo, Eustache Fafoumi, Georges Nougbodohoue,
Hermione Ahouissou, Jorice Demanou, Jude Noukpokennou, Jules Adanbadi,
Larissa Otchoumare, Lawal Akinocho, Mari Allassane Bio, Modeste Kpadonou,
Mohamed Demba Diallo, Nelly Ahoueya, Rawdath Demba Diallo, Raymond Ahoudji,
Ruben Adekambi, Sosthène Goussi, Spero Dorego, Ulriche Massenon,
Yaouza Alidou, and Yezid Alohou.

World Skate Coaches and Judges Seminar in Cotonou
Wprld Skate Federation article about a December 2016 seminar
held in the Benin city of Cotonou to train African
inline speed skating coaches and judges.
Nations participating i the ttraining included
Benin, Liberia, Nigeria, Senegal, Togo.
ACRS Congress 2016 in Cotonou
World Skate Federation article about
the 2016 annual congress of the
African Confederation of Roller Sports (ACRS),
held December 3, 2016 in the ciuty of Cotonou, Benin.
During that meetig Nathanael Koty of Benin
was unanimously elected to be president of the ACRS.
Counries represented at that meeting included
Angola, Benin, Cameroon, Congo Democratic Republic,
Egypt, Gabon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Guinea, Liberia,
Nigeria, Senegal, and Togo.
